Life on the Ice: Q&A with Susan Fox Rogers

Susan Fox Rogers is an author, professor of writing, rock climber, backcountry skier, kayaker, environmentalist, avid hiker and birder. She is a woman of enduring passions. The greatest of these is her lifelong obsession with the polar regions and their explorers, which inspired her to live for six weeks in Antarctica and write her book Antarctica: Life on the Ice. In anticipation of her April 16 appearance at the Center for Environmental Innovation and Education, I spoke with Susan about her time in the Antarctic and Arctic and her kinship since childhood with the explorers whose names are writ large in polar history.
