John Elder Robison Wows Clarkson Convocation 2015

John Elder Robison delivered the Van Sickle Endowed Lecture as Clarkson University celebrated the start of the 2015-2016 academic year with its August 25 convocation. Robison is author of The New York Times bestseller Look Me in the Eye: My Life with Asperger’s,

“I was a loser as a kid. And I was a loser at school. That’s why they threw me out,” he recounted. But he also went on to describe a life overcoming the challenges of Aspergers Syndrome — before the term was invented or the diagnosis recognized — to become a successful businessman, an adjunct professor at Elms College, even a designer of guitars for the rock band KISS.
